Stateline Motel formed in November 2004 and have played at many of Minneapolis' area venues such as the 7th Street Entry and the Triple Rock Social Club with national and international acts including: Weird War, None More Black, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, and The Fever.

Inspired by a combination of Victorian decadence and dime novel noir Stateline Motel play punk songs about Lizzie Borden, H.H. Holmes, Sylvia Plath, murder, madness, hokum, and black magick. Stateline Motel stand out as a sophisticated band of devious and dark punk storytellers.

In 2005 Stateline Motel released a three-song EP entitled Murder at the...Stateline Motel and in 2006 they recorded their debut full length CD Children's Stories at the revered Hideaway Studios in Minneapolis.
